![]() Then you need to clear out all evdi stuff. My recommendation would be to do a sudo rpm -qa | grep displaylink and remove all packages you have installed, sudo rpm -evh. I see in the logs DKMS built things for Fedora 32 and then later built something for Fedora 31, then jumped to Fedora 33 with evdi 1.8.0. In looking at your displaylink.log, there is some interesting things. ![]() We are waiting for a new release from DisplayLink ( ). That release does not work with the DisplayLink drivers. I have used it daily for three months without a glitch: now recommending it to friends and colleagues as a great little piece of kit. There is a reason why we have not created a build with evdi 1.8.0. This makes it almost as useful as a KVM switch, but without the extra cables and with full Hdmi support. ![]() While its main purpose is for the signage at events, I also use it every day at home so that switching from one laptop to another becomes as simple as moving the single USB cable, leaving the mouse, keyboard, monitor, printer, etc connected to this dock. Just right click on the desktop to get to Display Settings, where you can align the monitors, extend or duplicate them and also set u p and screen rotation. I got a displayport to hdmi cable so that I can connect the hub to three hdmi monitors and the 4th monitor goes onto the PC's hdmi port. It has 5 USB ports, Ethernet, audio, two HDMI ports and one Displayport. Having got it installed, connect everything up. Don't rely on the driver that self-installs when you first plug in the dock as it often fails to install and looks like an old version. Setup is simple enough - download the latest displaylink driver, install on the PC and restart. I use it for digital signage -running 4 large screens from one very small PC to show results at sporting events. This powerful little dock (Dell D3100) does its job very well. ![]()
